The event proved that raising money can be lots of fun! From the opening to the close of the event, friends of the University, business leaders, politicians, and members of the public enjoyed an evening of entertainment, fun and great speech. With a mixture incisiveness and humour, Sir Jonah awed and excited the guests. He gave an inspiring account of failures, successes, compromise, resoluteness, fear and humour. This was a speech had lessons for everyone, as described by many in the audience. We raised more money than we ever had before, about a half million Pula were raised which will be used to grow the Endowment Fund which provides annual graduate scholarships at the University of Botswana.
The Dinner Dance 2008 will be held on Friday 25 July 2008 at the GICC.
