UB Foundation Annual Fundraising Dinner Dance
The UB Foundation Fundraising Dinner Dance - the premier fundraising event in Botswana - is an annual gathering attended UB friends and partners, members of the public, the private sector and other stakeholders. His Excellency the President and Chancellor of the University of Botswana, Mr Festus G. Mogae, has graced the occasion every year since inception.
Proceeds from the Dinner event grow an Endowment Fund established to provide graduate scholarships. Through the generous investments of our donors in the university?s future, the Endowment Fund continues to grow and currently stands at just over P3 million, and the interest earned is dedicated to provide annual graduate scholarships to the needy and deserving citizen graduate students at the University of Botswana.
The Fundraising Dinner assists the University of Botswana to maintain its margin of excellence. It also provides a major source of funds for scholarships and enables the Foundation to extend support where need is the greatest. In addition to raising funds, the dinner event provides an invaluable opportunity to reaffirm relationships with our stakeholders and to draw wider attention to progress at the University of Botswana towards the attainment of its vision of excellence.
