Foundation Scholarships
The University of Botswana, established in 1982, is the highest seat of learning in the country. A strategic objective of the University is to increase the number of full-time graduate students. Through research and higher learning, graduate students will help to achieve the Educated and Informed Nation goals of Vision 2016.
Presently there are limited sources of funding for graduate students. The University of Botswana Foundation has sought to address this constraint by establishing the Endowment Fund and other named scholarships Named Scholarships to support opportunities for graduate study at the University of Botswana. All graduate scholarships are administered by the School of Graduate Studies to which all enquiries should be directed.
As at July 2010, the University of Botswana Foundation has awarded 80 scholarships in all academic disciplines to UB graduate students who will pursue graduate programs at University of Botswana.
